Modern Warfare 4's campaign trades globe-trotting spectacle for a grounded, darker story set during a full-scale invasion of South Korea, led by Young Mazino as a green conscript caught in the collapse. Digital pre-orders get campaign early access on October 16.
The story
The campaign centers on a full-scale invasion of South Korea. You play Private Park, a young, green grunt thrown into the crucible of combat when the front lines collapse around his hometown. Rather than an elite operator from the start, Park is a conscript - one of several squad members (Jay, Cho and Moon) pulled into a war that lands on their doorstep.
The tone is deliberately darker and more grounded, and the Korean characters speak to each other in their native language during combat. A returning Captain Price anchors the story to the wider Modern Warfare universe, in a notably harder-edged portrayal.
